Carrollton Fire Rescue Instructors Lead Charity Training for North Texas Firefighters
Members of Carrollton Texas Fire Rescue recently took part in a significant charity event, demonstrating their commitment to both professional development and community support. Several of our firefighters served as instructors for the Search and Rescue portion of a Charity Truck Operations class held in Mansfield earlier this week.
The group of instructors from CFR, led by Captain Jimmy Colleran, helped teach over a hundred firefighters from across North Texas each day! Other training included Forcible Entry, Roof Operations, VES (Vent Enter Search) and Extrication.
This training event was more than just professional development - it was a heartfelt initiative to support Maddie's Leukemia Fight. Maddie is the daughter of a Mansfield Police Officer, and 100% of the ticket and event sales were donated to support her. Carrollton Fire Rescue is proud of our members stepping up to help with such a worthy cause.
